Ammi majus Seeds

Ammi majus is one of our tallest hardy annuals with long strong stems, lacy white flower heads and dark green feathery foliage. Commonly known as Queen Anne's Lace or Bishop's Weed, Ammi is good for adding height to borders, for cut flower production and attracts pollinating insects too. In fact it's such a great plant that the RHS have awarded it the AGM (Award of Garden Merit)

Ammi loves sun and dappled shade. Sow in spring for summer flowers then sow again in late summer or early autumn for larger stronger plants and more flowers early next year.

Picking Pick early in the day and strip most of the leaves from the stem. Stand Ammi in deep water to condition for several hours before arranging. Please Note: Ammi may irritate skin so it's best to wear gloves and long sleeves when handling.
Planting Combinations Grow with other tall annuals such as Scabiosa, Cosmos and Larkspur for a stunning display in your garden. A classic 'filler plant' Ammi is perfect for adding a light touch to any bunch of cut flowers.
