Candytuft Mixed Seeds

Candytuft is a super little Hardy Annual flower. It has rounded heads of pastel blooms in shades of lilac, lavender, pink, white. Foliage is fresh green and the plants look delicate and frothy. In fact they are quite tough with sturdy stems and will cope with most gardens as long as you plant them in a sunny place.

This lovely hardy annual plant is brilliant for edging your borders or cut flower beds. It's an ideal plant for patio containers too. Candytuft one of the easiest annuals to grow from seed and lovely for beginners or children to grow too. Candytuft is especially lovely in posies of mixed flowers. It’s good for pollinating insects too. Sow in succession for flowers this summer and sow again in late summer or autumn for early flowers next year.

Sow Seeds Sow direct in March, April and May. Sow again in late summer/early autumn for early flowers next year. Sowing in spring to flowering usually takes 14 weeks.

Conditions Required Candytuft is native to dry sunny places and although it will grow in most soil conditions it prefers a sunny, well drained, sheltered spot.
