Eschscholzia & Phacelia Seeds

A lovely mix of flowers to grow together. Eschscholzia californica is a simple poppy from California with bright upright flowers and feathery foliage. Orange, Gold and Cream flowers open in the sun then close when night falls. Californian Poppies are easy to grow, produce masses of flowers and they are perfect for edging paths too.

Phacelia is one of our most useful hardy annuals with abundant flowers soft blue flowers and feathery grey/green foliage. Commonly known as Purple Tansy or Scorpion Flower, Phacelia has beautiful lavender blue flowers which are hugely attractive to bees and hoverflies. It's good in wild flower meadows, cottage gardens, great for cut flower production (it's a cut and come again flower and lightly scented too) and attracts beneficial insects. What's more Phacelia is useful as a green manure too.

For lots of flowers I recommend making two spring sowings, one in March then again in May for flowers all summer long. Sow again in autumn for early flowers the following year.
