Larkspur Dark Blue & Dill Seeds

Larkspur 'Dark Blue' has spires of deep blue/purple double flowers on long branching stems. If you love Delphiniums then you'll love these! Larkspur are annual Delphiniums. Larkspur seeds needs cold stratification. You'll find a simple explanation of how to do this on the Blog. Annual Larkspur are extremely hardy... they are also beautiful classic country garden plants. Their dramatic flowers are good in your borders, for cut flowers and for making confetti.

Forists Dill 'Mariska' is the perfect plant to grow with Dark Blue Larkspur. It has sturdy ridged stems and flowers early making quite a statement in the garden. Anethum has feathery foliage and lots of lovely lime green flower heads for cutting. The flowers are unscented but the foliage is aromatic (aniseed) and is often used to flavour fish, soups, salads and pickles.

Both Dill and Larkspur are easy and rewarding to grow so they are great for beginners. They are also good for container planting (choose a large pot!) and have masses of pollen and nectar which will attract beneficial insects into your garden.
