Cynoglossum 'Mystery Rose' Seeds

If you love pink flowers you will adore this one. Cynoglossum produces masses of the softest dusky pink flowers. Sometimes called the Chinese Forget me Not, Cynoglossum is a fast growing annual. Flowers are produced just three months after sowing the seeds. It's good for cutting too… add them to mixed bunches or group them together for a striking display.

Sow in February or March indoors the plant out in May for flowers from June onwards. Alternatively sow in late summer to early autumn for flowers the following year.

Height & Spread 60-90cm/2-3 feet tall x 30cm/1 foot wide
Sow Seeds Sow in February or March indoors then plant out in May for flowers from June onwards. Sow direct in May. Alternatively sow in August to October for flowers the following year. Please note that seeds need total darkness for germination. Germinates at 18-20°C in 5 to 10 days.
Thin/Plant Out Plant out 30cm/1 foot apart after the last frosts when the soil has warmed up in May.
Conditions Required Cynoglossum prefers moist but well drained soil in full sun or part shade.
Hardy to -15C
Flower Production Takes 12 weeks from seed to flower from a spring sowing. Keep cutting the blooms and your plants will keep producing flowers all summer long.
Picking Pick when it's cool outdoors (early morning or evening) and stand flowers in a tall bucket of water for a good drink before arranging. Cynoglossum flowers last about 5 -7 days in a vase.
Planting Combinations Cynoglossum is lovely in mixed borders, in mixed flower arrangements and complements most blooms.
