Sow Seeds Sow seeds direct in spring from March onwards. You can also start seeds off indoors then plant out when your young plants are well established.
Plant Out If you started them indoors, move plants to their flowering position in May then allow them to grow on ready for summer flowering.
Conditions Required Like most annual flowers this collection prefers a sunny spot and will also tolerate some dappled shade. Water thoroughly once a week in dry spells for maximum nectar production, keep picking and deadheading and feed each week to keep the flowers going.
Flower Production It's good to keep cutting because that stimulates your plants to keep producing new flowers. Buckets of blooms in all shades of blue/lilac, white, yellow and pink are produced from June to the end of September or even longer.
Picking Pick early in the morning or in the cool evening and stand flowers in deep water for a few hours before arranging. Cut flowers will last at least 5 days in a vase.
