I saw these beautiful Salvias at Gresgarth Garden on Sunday and thought I would share them with you. They were in the Walled Garden which is a kitchen garden full of fruit, vegetables and flowers. Gresgarth is only open one day each month so you have to be very lucky to catch it. The next open day is in November.

I do love salvias. It’s a struggle to keep them going in my cold wet garden, but worth the effort to have such beauty.
Yes I agree Jessica. I think many of them are from Mexico and lovely hot places so it’s no wonder we struggle a bit.
These are beautiful! My favs are S. guaranitica which bloom in (mostly) in late summer.
