The Big Garden Birdwatch

robin 052 - CopyThe RSPB is holding the 2016 Big Garden Birdwatch on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January.

Adults and Children can take part.  To join in all you need to do is:

  1. Apply for a pack (via mail or download)
  2. Select a day and watch the birds that visit your garden for one hour.
  3. Record which birds visit and count how many you see.
  4. Let the RSPB know your results.

It’s really easy and good fun, especially if you have children to help you count.
You can apply for a pack on the RSPB website.

Happy birdwatching!     Gillian 🙂

    1. Nothing very exotic I’m afraid. We have some lovely blackbirds, robins, and lots of blue tits. I’m feeding them daily and we do attract flocks of long tailed tits and woodpeckers. We had Tawny owls hooting in the garden this afternoon but it’s unlikely they will come to the feeders!
