A row of cherry trees smothered in beautiful pink blossom stopped me in my tracks today. I felt compelled to jump out of the car and take a few photos. The thing is that this flowering season may be fleeting so you just have to make the most of it and revel in the blossom when you can.

The Goldfinches are back
We’ve had Goldfinches visiting our garden over the past few days. They are attracted to the Teasel seed heads which I left on over winter specifically for these visitors. Despite being lashed about by the wind and rain for the past few months there are still plenty of seeds and small insects tucked away inside the spiky cones.
Dividing Perennials
I had a really good go at dividing my overgrown perennial plants last autumn… then I got rained off. So there are still one or two big clumps of plants that need my attention now. It’s not too late.
