In early June this year many of the seeds I sowed in March produced the most beautiful flowers. I was able to pick buckets and buckets of them for our home, our family and friends and there were still plenty left to enjoy in the garden.
At college my tutors were always asking me “What are you trying to say?” I had no idea what they were talking about back then. I wasn’t really trying to say anything… or so I thought! I just wanted to learn how to take better photographs. Gradually I began to understand what it was that they were getting at.
It’s good to have somewhere to sit in a garden. Here in our country garden we have wooden furniture. It’s appropriate, it matches the setting and helps to create the mood…
The Lavender plants lining the path to our front door are not quite as lavender blue as I thought they would be. I’d say they were more of a pale lilac colour. I’m not complaining, it’s just an observation. The scent is quite amazing as the plants release their fragrance in the heat of the day and that more than makes up for the lack of bright colour.
