Tulips are still going strong in our garden and the photos below show some of the lovely pink varieties we have this year.
I know that the palest pink is Angelique, the mid pink and the deep pink I call my mystery tulips because it’s a mystery to me what they are! If you know please send me a comment!
I love the delicate markings on this frilly double tulip.
I spotted the deep pink centre right at the heart of this white magnolia flower.
Sticking with the pink theme here’s a single Magnolia flower. I wish this grew in my garden but sadly not. I photographed this magnificent plant last Sunday at Gresgarth Garden.
I’m joining in with Cees Fun Foto Challenge today. The challenge is to photograph a single flower or a bud. Perhaps you would like to join in?
Looking forward to seeing your photos too! Happy Gardening. Gillian 🙂
Very beautiful, Gillian. The light shining through the red tulip petals is lovely.
Thanks very much Kate.
Beautiful pictures. I particularly like the shot if the inside of the magnolia flower. 🙂
Thanks. I was lucky to catch it just at the right moment, they soon turn from pink to brown.
You have some wonderful flowers for this week’s challenge.
Thanks very much Cee!
The white magnolia shot is breathtaking. Good photography skills + exceptional beauty = wonderful photo. 🙂
Thanks very much Judy! That’s very kind of you to say.
The light in these photographs is just beautiful! I love the Angelique tulip and the beautiful center of the magnolia.
Thanks very much Kate.
