A row of cherry trees smothered in beautiful pink blossom stopped me in my tracks today. I felt compelled to jump out of the car and take a few photos. The thing is that this flowering season may be fleeting so you just have to make the most of it and revel in the blossom when you can.
Did you know that gardening has been knocked right off the top of the UK hobbies list? Depending on which survey you read the number one slot is now occupied by reading, cookery or gaming. Whatever that is! Anyway the surveys show that gardening is still a firm second on the list of popular hobbies and pastimes.
It’s grey, cold and windy today here in Lancashire. We were very lucky because the worst of the stormy weather missed us here in the north west veering off to the south and east of the UK instead. I do love autumn… but on days like this I long for a little bit of sunshine. Sunny days make me feel happy.
